In 1999, Barry Glick and Mark Seiler formed GeoCodex for the purpose of combating the digital piracy that was then plaguing the music business. Their goal was to create a transformative technology to protect digital data by integrally linking encryption to geographic location.
To develop this technology, GeoCodex attracted a group of world-class experts in the fields of encryption, location science, and electronic positioning systems as partners in the venture. This team has produced a series of innovations that collectively define a robust solution called Location-Based Encryption/Decryption (“L-BED”).
GeoCodex continues to develop innovative solutions that use location to protect data - whether at rest or in transit.
Using Geo-Encryption to Protect High-Value Data
GeoCodex’ new Smartphone Application for Geo-Encryption (SAGE) combines Location-Based Encryption/Decryption (L-BED) with proven encryption technologies to enable affordable, secure network-based Geo-Encrypted key management.
